Re: Cellules photovoltaique au perovskite

The United States Department of Energy is providing $14 million for a research center for perovskite solar technology. Led by Sandia National Laboratories, the center’s work will focus on establishing standard testing protocols as well as ensuring the long-term reliability of perovskite cells and the bankability of companies setting up to produce them.

Scientists in the U.S. are setting up a research project to focus on perovskite solar cells, having received $14 million from the Department of Energy (DOE). The Perovskite Photovoltaic Accelerator for Commercializing Technologies Center is being led by Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), with input from several other U.S.-based research institutes and companies.
Perovskite solar cells have received plenty of attention from researchers and the PV industry in recent years but challenges to commercial development remain. “Perovskite photovoltaic technologies may provide a pathway to low-cost manufacturing but there is still much that is unknown about this technology, especially in terms of outdoor performance and reliability,” said Joshua Stein, an SNL engineer who will direct the project. “The center will field-test and monitor this technology using a common set of testing protocols so that every device can be fairly compared.”
Sandia's project partners are the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), CFV Labs, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Electric Power Research Institute and engineering firm Black & Veatch.
Common language
Perovskite cells differ from silicon and other commercial PV technologies in several ways, meaning new standards will be needed to accurately measure their performance. Establishing such standards will be among the center’s first jobs. “Right now, it’s like the Wild West,” said Stein. “We would like to craft a clear set of test protocols that have been validated and vetted by the industry to create a rubric, or set of goalposts, so that companies that are getting into perovskite solar technologies know what they need to do.”

Re: Cellules photovoltaique au perovskite
Premier parc solaire au perovskite à ma connaissance :
https://www.pv-magazine.com/2022/02/18/ ... r-modules/Chinese perovskite cell maker Microquanta Semiconductor announced on Wednesday the start of construction on a 12 MW ground-mounted solar park in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
FEBRUARY 18, 2022
The facility will be China's first utility-scale solar project integrating perovskite solar modules, the company said in a statement. The plant is expected to be built with an investment of approximately RMB60 million ($9.48 million) and to occupy a surface of 166,500 square meters. Microquanta currently produces its modules through a 100 MW production line at its facility in Hangzhou Province. In 2019, its research team achieved a 14.24% conversion efficiency record for a large-area (200 x 800 cm2) perovskite solar module. In May, it claimed a world record 20.2% conversion efficiency on a 20 cm2, “third generation” solar cell. The highest efficiency for a company's solar cell with an area of 19.3 cm2 is reportedly 24.1%

Pour détrôner le silicium monocristallin, il va falloir encore quelques années voire décennies!

Re: Cellules photovoltaique au perovskite
https://www.pv-magazine.com/2023/12/04/ ... te-panels/China Three Gorges commissions 1 MW pilot PV plant with perovskite panels
China Three Gorges has commissioned a 1 MW pilot solar plant with perovskite panels near Ordos, in China’s Inner Mongolia region. This marks the world’s first commercial PV system to use perovskite tech and features 11,200 modules from an undisclosed manufacturer.
DECEMBER 4, 2023 EMILIANO BELLINI
Three Gorges Energy, a unit of China Three Gorges Corp., has switched on a 1 MW solar power plant using unspecified perovskite PV panels in the Kubuqi Desert, in China's Inner Mongolia region.
The company said that the PV system uses 11,200 modules, but it did not reveal the supplier or any technical details. The plant near Hangjin Banner, Ordos, is the world's first commercial PV system to use perovskite technology.
A primary project objective is to study perovskite solar panel behavior in the dry and hot climate of the Kubuqi Desert, with plans to apply the same module technology in diverse regions and climates.
