The Lithuanian Ministry of Energy is preparing to announce a tender to develop an offshore wind farm.
The ministry has submitted draft government resolutions for public consultation, covering the location in the Baltic Sea where a 700 MW offshore wind farm would be developed, as well as the requirements for bidders.
According to the plan, the offshore wind farm will be developed around 36 km offshore and installed by 2028, providing up to a quarter of Lithuania’s total electricity demand.

The Lithuanian Government presented the results of its very first offshore wind auction. A consortium of the Ignitis Group and OceanWinds is the winner. They were willing to pay €20m to develop the project. It will most likely be operational by 2030. The consortium has received a permit to operate the site for 41 years.

Le groupe énergétique lituanien Ignitis a confirmé, le 12 octobre, que sa filiale Ignitis renewables, associée à Ocean winds, la coentreprise d’Engie et d’EDP Renovaveis, avait bien remporté le premier appel d’offres éolien en mer en Lituanie.

Le régulateur de l’énergie lituanien a ouvert, le 16 janvier, un appel d’offres pour 700 MW d’éolien en mer Baltique. Une seconde procédure pour laquelle a été introduite la possibilité de bénéficier d’un complément de rémunération.

Après un premier parc de 700 MW attribué en octobre au tandem formé par Ignitis et Ocean winds, la Lituanie vient de lancer un second appel d’offres pour l’éolien en mer. La procédure porte sur l’attribution de 700 MW supplémentaires dans un secteur de 136 km2, à une trentaine de kilomètres, au large de la ville de Klaipeda qui abrite le principal port du pays.
